The data standard determines how information is encoded within the barcode and varies by industry, regulatory requirements, and use case. We created the barcode decoder tool to help you identify the standard used in your barcode and uncover the information hidden within. How to extract barcode data from a spreadsheet?

The Orca Scan web app automatically extracts data from each barcode into separate columns. To get started:

1. Login at cloud.orcascan.com
2. Create a new sheet
3. Add a column for each value you wish to extract
4. Use the relevant Orca Variable as the default value
5. Import your spreadsheet of barcodes
